Dr. Rebecca Kamody is an Assistant Professor in the Child Study Center at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in adolescent mental health, eating disorders, and gender-affirming care. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Memphis and completed postdoctoral training at Yale Child Study Center. Her research focuses on culturally responsive interventions for eating disorders, health disparities in LGBTQ+ youth, and the role of schools in suicide prevention. Dr. Kamody has been recognized with the 2024 Distinguished Faculty Award for contributions to psychology training and featured in the 2022 Yale Child Study Center spotlight.

Her research employs dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) adaptations for diverse populations and examines minority stress frameworks in transgender health.
