Rebecca Jones

Rebecca Jones is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at Cape Breton University (CBU). A Registered Nurse (RN), she combines clinical expertise in emergency/critical care, geriatrics, forensic/sexual assault nursing, and palliative care with academic leadership.

Education:

• Master of Nursing, Generalist degree with a teaching focus from Athabasca University (2020)
• Bachelor of Science, Nursing (BScN) with an Advanced Major in Nursing from Cape Breton University (2014)

Her research program centers on breastfeeding and lactation support, aiming to improve clinical support models through patient experience analysis. She also maintains specialized certifications including Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) and Emergency Nursing Program (ENP), while currently pursuing a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) program.
