Rebecca Elvey

Rebecca Elvey is a Research Fellow at The University of Manchester, currently affiliated with the Centre for Primary Care and the Greater Manchester CLAHRC. Her career spans pharmacy practice, nursing, and public health research, with prior roles at the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work and the Centre for Pharmacy Workforce Studies.

• PhD in pharmacy professional identity (2011)
• MA (Econ) and BA from The University of Manchester
• NIHR-funded studies in mental health and community pharmacy

Research focuses on professional identity in pharmacy and patient/user experiences of healthcare models, particularly self-care support in mental health and pharmaceutical service evaluations. Methodological expertise in qualitative research (interviews, focus groups) and evidence synthesis.

Teaching includes supervision of MPharm students and seminars on research methods for nursing and psychology students. Key memberships: University of Manchester Research Staff Association, Evidence Synthesis Network. Recent work includes process evaluations of pharmaceutical interventions and hybrid trial methodologies.
