معرفی
Rebecca Doyle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at McMaster University. Her research focuses on microbial impacts on host organisms, leveraging experimental evolution and genomic approaches to study adaptation and symbiotic relationships. She explores how microbial DNA variation influences host traits, with projects on nitrogen amendment in soil microbes and the infectious nature of life across disciplines.
Currently teaching BIO1M03 – Evolution, Biodiversity, and Humanity and MOLBIOL 4CT3 – Current Topics in Molecular Biology. Ongoing projects include understanding microbial adaptation mechanisms and synthesizing concepts in infection genomics. Her work bridges experimental and computational methods, addressing questions in ecological and evolutionary microbiology.
Highlighted publications span topics like microbial cooperation, nested symbiosis, and rhizobial competition in agriculture. No awards are listed, and no advised students are provided. She is affiliated with labs studying microbial ecology and evolutionary biology.
