Rebecca Davis

Rebecca Davis is the Miller Family Early Career Professor of History and Associate Professor of Women and Gender Studies at the University of Delaware. Her research focuses on the history of sexuality, gender, and religion in America. She is the author of groundbreaking books such as Fierce Desires (2024), Public Confessions (2021), and More Perfect Unions (2010). Davis has received prestigious awards, including the 2022 NEH Public Scholar Award and the LGBT Religious History Award (2011-2012). She co-hosts the podcast This Is Probably a Really Weird Question and is affiliated with organizations like the Council on Contemporary Families and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
