Dr Rebecca Clark is a Research Fellow in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Dynamics at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Her work focuses on mathematical modeling to assess the health and economic impacts of tuberculosis (TB) vaccines, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
- Education:
- PhD in Infectious Disease Epidemiology, LSHTM (2023)
- MSc in Epidemiology, University of Alberta (2019)
- BSc (Honours) in Biology and Mathematics, McMaster University (2016)
Her research spans TB vaccine modeling, health economics, and policy informatics. Key areas include BCG revaccination, vaccine delivery strategies, and intersections with HIV. Recent work explores climate change impacts on TB and donor funding reductions.
Recent publications analyze TB vaccine efficacy across India, asymptomatic TB dynamics, and nutritional interventions for TB-affected households. She contributes to journals like The Lancet, PLOS Medicine, and BMC Infectious Diseases.
Current grants include Wellcome Trust funding (2024–2028) for TB burden reduction research and Open Philanthropy support (2025–2026) for VPM1002 vaccine modeling.
