Rebecca Butcher, MS, MPH is a Senior Research Scientist and Director of the Center for Program Design & Evaluation (CPDE) at Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine since 2022. With a background as a board-certified neurological clinical specialist in physical therapy, she brings 22 years of healthcare delivery, education, and research experience to her role.
- Expertise in complex systems, mixed-methods evaluation, and implementation science
- Leaders multi-site evaluations for community-based population health initiatives
- Collaborates with Geisel School of Medicine faculty, TDI, and Dartmouth Health
Her work focuses on tracking implementation processes and measuring health outcomes across diverse populations, particularly addressing disparities among people of color. She specializes in evidence-based theoretical models of change and longitudinal mixed-methods designs.
At CPDE, she provides strategic leadership for NIH, HRSA, CDC, DHHS, and American Cancer Society-funded projects, serving as Co-Investigator or Lead Evaluator. Her operational support includes team management, client engagement, and securing sustained funding.
