Rebecca Breen is a part-time Lecturer in the Core and Applied Social Sciences department at Redeemer University. She earned her MA in Immigration and Settlement Studies (2021) from Toronto Metropolitan University and a BA (Hons) in Global Studies and Spanish (2020) from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Her publications address topics such as Indigenous perspectives on immigration policy, media framing of refugees, and colonial territorial governance. She has received multiple accolades including the Gold Medal of Excellence (2020) and President’s Gold Award (2016-2019). Breen previously served as director of a refugee ministry and Internationalization Coordinator at Wilfrid Laurier University.
