Rebecca Baggaley

Rebecca Baggaley is an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London. Her research focuses on infectious disease epidemiology, particularly HIV transmission dynamics, mathematical modeling of interventions like antiretroviral therapy (ART), and the impact of coinfections (e.g., malaria, tuberculosis) on HIV viral load. She explores antiretroviral drug resistance in sub-Saharan Africa and systematically reviews HIV transmission risks and sexual behavior patterns, including heterosexual anal sex prevalence. Her work extends to maternal health interventions in developing countries, such as multivitamin polypills and family planning.
