Rebecca Andrews is an Associate Professor and Director of Initial Teacher Education at the Macquarie School of Education, Macquarie University. She leads research in early childhood educator mentoring and educator-child reminiscing, focusing on professional development, memory development, and social-emotional learning. Her roles include overseeing Professional Experience programs and promoting mentoring practices across early childhood sectors.
Educationally, she holds a Doctor of Philosophy (2018), Master of Early Childhood (2007), and multiple teaching qualifications from Macquarie University. Her research emphasizes structured mentoring for teacher retention, quality improvement in early childhood services, and the impact of educator-child conversations on cognitive and emotional development.
