Rebeca Duque Estrada is a Doctoral Researcher at the Institute of Computational Design and Construction (ICD) at the University of Stuttgart, affiliated with the Cluster of Excellence IntCDC. Her work focuses on digital fabrication, computational design, and fiber composite materials for architectural applications.
She holds a Master of Science in Architecture through the Integrative Technologies and Architectural Design Research (ITECH) program at the University of Stuttgart and a Master of Arts in Open Design from the Humboldt University of Berlin and Universidad de Buenos Aires. Her research involves high-performance lightweight structures and robotic fabrication systems, including projects like Hybrid FRP-Timber Building System and Tailored Clay.
Her publications highlight innovations in multi-robot fabrication (e.g., Spatial Winding, Spatial Lacing), visualization for AEC industries, and monitoring fibrous structures using laser scanning. Awards include the DAAD scholarship and Science Without Borders Scholarship.
