Razib Iqbal

Dr. Razib Iqbal is a Professor of Computer Science at Missouri State University's College of Natural and Applied Sciences. He serves as the Roy D. Blunt Life Science Endowed Professor and is the founding director of the Multimedia Systems and Communications (MuSyC) Lab. Dr. Iqbal also holds the position of Graduate Program Director for the Software Engineering Graduate Certificate program.

The research conducted in his MuSyC Lab demonstrates strong interdisciplinary connections between computer science and real-world problem solving.

Dr. Iqbal has secured significant research funding, including a $600K NSF grant as Principal Investigator and a $4 million US Department of Energy grant as Co-Principal Investigator and Computer Science lead. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals and conferences, establishing himself as a respected researcher in his fields of expertise.

The Multimedia Systems and Communications (MuSyC) Lab, which Dr. Iqbal founded, serves as the hub for his research activities. The lab focuses on integrating multimedia systems with IoT technologies, developing innovative approaches to smart environments, and addressing challenges in quality software engineering. Through the NSF ROSE RET program and other initiatives, the lab provides valuable research experiences for students at multiple educational levels.
