Raymond Tobler

Raymond Tobler is an ARC DECRA fellow at the School of Biological Sciences within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology at the University of Adelaide. He is eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students, indicating his standing as a recognized academic researcher.

Dr. Tobler's central research interest focuses on understanding how evolutionary processes have shaped biological diversity in humans and other species. His work spans population genetics, human evolutionary history across Australia, New Guinea, and Island South East Asia, and the emerging field of evolutionary medicine. During his PhD, he investigated thermal adaptation in fruit flies using population genetic datasets.
