Raymond Pun serves as an academic and research librarian at California's Alder Graduate School of Education, supporting pre-service teachers, teacher educators, and researchers through evidence synthesis, licensing, and scholarly communication services. With nearly two decades of professional experience, he has held positions at Stanford University, Fresno State, New York University Shanghai, and The New York Public Library.
His educational background includes:

- MLS from Queens College
- EdD in Educational Leadership from California State University, Fresno
Dr. Pun's research focuses on sustainability, library advocacy, ethnic studies, and global librarianship, with scholarly output including co-edited books, a co-authored monograph, and peer-reviewed articles. He actively advances professional discourse through extensive presentations at international conferences across library and information science domains.
His leadership includes serving as the 50th president of the Chinese American Librarians Association (2022-2023) and 42nd president of the Asian Pacific American Librarians Association (2021-2022) within the American Library Association framework. At Alder, he provides comprehensive library services while contributing to educational leadership through evidence-based scholarly support systems.
