Raymond Li is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Canberra, affiliated with the Faculty of Business, Government & Law and the Canberra School of Politics, Economics and Society. He holds a PhD and Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Macquarie University. His research focuses on applied econometrics and energy economics, particularly energy demand, pricing, and market integration. He serves on the editorial boards of three international journals and has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals such as the Energy Journal and Energy Economics. Dr. Li is currently investigating renewable energy markets, energy policy, and pricing dynamics in regions like Texas and the United States. He has secured grants including a 2025 project on retail investor outcomes in crypto markets. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to sustainable energy and economic growth.

Research Interests: Applied econometrics, energy demand modeling, renewable energy markets, energy pricing strategies, market integration, and the economic impacts of energy policies.
Recent work highlights include analysis of electricity outage costs in the US, solar and wind energy sales optimization in Texas, and price elasticity studies across sectors. He actively supervises PhD students and collaborates internationally on energy market dynamics.
