Dr. Raymond L. Moody is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences at the University of Connecticut. His research focuses on syndemic approaches to health, particularly addressing how social inequities and environmental hardships intersect to amplify health disparities among sexual minority populations. He investigates intersectional stigma's impact on substance use and HIV transmission risks, emphasizing interventions that promote resilience through social support and emotion regulation strategies.
