Raymond Deeren is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages & Literature at Austin Peay State University, serving as Co-Coordinator of the Creative Writing Program. His research explores social class intersections with race, gender, and sexuality in American life, rooted in his rural working-class Michigan background. He is Senior Editor for Zone 3 Press, part of the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts.
