Jeremy Llorence is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Otterbein University. As a Black American playwright from Metro-Detroit, he specializes in exploring themes of masculinity and place through comedy and drama, with works showcased across Midwest venues like Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Milwaukee, and Chicago. His teaching focuses on empowering students to discover their narrative voices.

Research & Creative Work: His practice spans playwriting, American theatre, contemporary literature, and creative writing in diverse forms. His artistic influences include August Wilson, Tony Kushner, Paula Vogel, and Sarah Ruhl.
