Rayanne Haines is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Arts and Cultural Management at MacEwan University. She holds a Master of Arts in Arts, Festival and Cultural Management from Queen Margaret University. Haines is also President of the League of Canadian Poets and host/creator of the literary podcast Crow Reads. Her research focuses on intersectional lived experiences of women and non-binary individuals in the arts, leadership dynamics in Canadian cultural institutions, and the social construction of trauma narratives.

- Intersectionality in arts leadership
- Gender and class dynamics in cultural organizations
- Mental health in artistic communities
- Intergenerational trauma expression through art
Publications and Projects:
- Author of three poetry collections, including the award-winning Tell the Birds Your Body Is Not A Gun (2021)
- Curator of interdisciplinary arts projects like Identities panel series
- Executive Director of Edmonton Poetry Festival (2012–2019)
Awards and Grants: Multiple recognitions including the 2022 Stephan G. Stephansson Award and grants from Canada Council and Edmonton Arts Council. Active with professional associations including the Writers Guild of Alberta and Professional Fundraisers Association.
Leadership and Advocacy: Focuses on creating equitable spaces in arts organizations through resource development, governance reform, and audience diversification strategies. Currently developing a new manuscript exploring grief and identity.
