Dr. Ravi Srinivasan is a Professor of Operations Management at Loyola University Maryland's Sellinger School of Business, where he teaches Operations Management and Global Supply Chain Management in undergraduate and MBA programs. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations and Sourcing Management from Michigan State University, an M.S. in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Kansas State University, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India.
His research focuses on three interconnected domains: Innovation (examining how supply chain structures influence firm innovation), Risk Management (analyzing disruption responses, particularly post-COVID), and the IT/SCM Interface (exploring technologies like AI and IoT in global supply chains). This work is informed by his 9 years of industry experience implementing supply chain processes in automotive, appliance, and tech sectors.
Publications predominantly explore supply chain resilience, digital transformation, and innovation strategies. Recent works analyze cashless payment systems in emerging economies (2024–2025), social media communication during disruptions (2023), and Industry 4.0 human resource challenges (2020). A consistent theme is the optimization of organizational responses to volatility through technology and strategic alignment.
