Raven Voora

Raven Voora, MD serves as Associate Professor of Medicine and Associate Program Director for the Nephrology and Hypertension Training Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She has been a member of the Division of Nephrology at UNC since 2011.

Dr. Voora is a hypertension specialist who sees patients at the UNC Hypertension Clinic, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach that combines lifestyle modification, medications, and investigative techniques to treat hypertension. Her clinical expertise includes diagnosing and treating patients with difficult-to-manage hypertension as well as routine and less common causes of hypertension. She also provides care for patients with kidney disease in Chapel Hill and at the Burlington Kidney Center in Burlington, North Carolina.

Dr. Voora's research focuses on hypertension management and renal denervation procedures, as evidenced by her publications on ambulatory blood pressure monitoring implementation and patient selection criteria for renal denervation. Her work bridges clinical practice with innovative approaches to treating resistant hypertension.

Her educational background includes undergraduate studies at Franklin and Marshall College, medical school at the University of Maryland, residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
