Rasel Ahmed is an Assistant Professor of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts at The Ohio State University. His work bridges experimental and documentary filmmaking, using cinematic techniques to explore themes of displacement, citizenship, and identity. He combines participatory documentation, archival research, and collaborative re-enactment in his creative process.

Research & Practice: Ahmed’s work focuses on gender, sexuality, migration, and political organizing. His projects include founding Bangladesh’s first LGBT magazine Roopbaan and running a transnational queer archive.
