Raphaela Bauer-Raschhofer

Dr. Raphaela Bauer-Raschhofer is a University assistant post doc at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, affiliated with the Institute for Austrian and European Economic Criminal Law. Her research focuses on criminal law, particularly the protection of fundamental rights in judicial proceedings and economic criminal law. She earned her LL.M. and PhD in Business Law from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), graduating with distinction in both programs. Her academic journey includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business Law (2010–2013) and earlier education at the Federal Commercial Academy in Ried im Innkreis (2005–2010).

Professionally, she has served as a legal trainee in the Higher Regional Court of Vienna and as a trainee lawyer at wkk law Rechtsanwälte. Her editorial contributions include co-editing Criminal Law: Special Part Compact (2025). She has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the State Prize for Best Dissertations and the Stephan Koren Prize. Her work bridges theoretical legal scholarship and practical applications in European judicial frameworks.
