Rao C.N.R.

Rao C.N.R. is a distinguished academic holding the Linus Pauling Research Professor title and Honorary President at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at Purdue University and has held numerous prestigious roles including President of JNCASR (1989–1999) and Director of the Indian Institute of Science (1984–1994).

His research focuses on structural chemistry, solid-state chemistry, and advanced materials. Over his career, he has pioneered work in materials science and nanotechnology, contributing to foundational advancements in these fields.
