Simone Ranocchiari is a Research Fellow at the GEDT Institute of the University of Geneva. He holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Lausanne, where his thesis focused on urban commons in Rome under the supervision of Christophe Mager. His research interests include urban studies, cultural geography, urban planning, social movements, biographical approaches, and the right to the city. In addition to his post-doctoral research, he teaches in the joint Master's program in Territorial Development between the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and the HES-SO.
His academic background spans interdisciplinary fields including architecture, sociology, and geography. He is affiliated with the GEDT Institute and is based in Office A511 at the University of Geneva's main campus.
