معرفی
Ranjeeta Menon is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology at Monash University, Australia. She transitioned from the University of Sydney in 2020 and currently leads research in genomics and infectious diseases. Her work focuses on antibiotic resistance, tuberculosis, and HIV co-infection using advanced genomic techniques and artificial intelligence.
Research interests include comparative genomics, genome-wide association studies, and translational research. She collaborates internationally on projects related to tuberculosis and HIV, including work with the BDI research lab on mycobacterial energy signatures. Her expertise spans bioinformatics, genomic epidemiology, and computational biology.
- Key research areas: Genomics, Bioinformatics, Antibiotic Resistance, Infectious Diseases
Ranjeeta has received notable awards including the 2019 Competitive Fellowship for AI in drug resistance markers, and the 2018 National/international honours for Tuberculosis genomics and Metagenomics in HIV management. She is actively involved in supervising PhD students and has organized events like the Victorian Cancer Bioinformatics Symposium 2021.
Her research contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals addressing health and well-being. She has led projects funded by grants such as the NSW Translational Research Grant and currently explores AI-driven genomic studies to combat drug-resistant infections.
