Rania Huntington is a Professor of Chinese Literature at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, located in Van Hise Hall. Her office hours are Tuesdays 1:30-2:30 PM and Fridays 10:30-11:30 AM. She holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and specializes in Chinese language and literature.
Her research focuses on Ming and Qing dynasty narratives, supernatural literature, memory studies, and gender representation. Current projects include analyzing 17th-century strange tales, intersections between family history and folklore, and 19th-century board games' cultural significance.
Rania teaches courses such as First Year Classical Chinese, Survey of Chinese Literature, and specialized topics like Dream of the Red Chamber and Liaozhai Zhiyi. She also offers a general education course on Asian folklore titled 'Asia Enchanted: Gods, Ghosts, and Monsters.'
