Randall Martin is the Raymond R. Tucker Distinguished Professor in the Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, part of the McKelvey School of Engineering. He leads research on atmospheric composition, integrating satellite remote sensing and global modeling to address environmental and public health challenges.

Research Focus: His work focuses on characterizing atmospheric composition to inform policies on air quality and climate change. He leads the open-source GEOS-Chem global model and the SPARTAN network, and collaborates on satellite instruments like MAIA and MODIS-VIIRS. His data underpin global health assessments, including WHO mortality studies and the Global Burden of Disease Project.
