Randall A. Lake is an Associate Professor of Communication at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. He specializes in rhetorical theory, public controversies, and social movements, particularly focusing on gender, race, and ethnicity dynamics. His work emphasizes subaltern communities’ efforts to shape public discourse, including Native American activism and 19th-century suffrage rhetoric. He is a faculty affiliate of the USC Race and Equity Center.
