Ramona Dima is a lecturer at Södertörn University's Department of Culture and Learning, specializing in queer and gender studies within Southeastern Europe. Her research focuses on queer culture, sexuality and migration, and LGBT+ activism, particularly examining how concepts of respectability are negotiated within grassroots groups in relation to anti-gender movements.

Her work explores queer women's experiences during Romania's communist era, contemporary anti-gender movements, and the intersection of migration with queer identities. Current research at Södertörn University investigates LGBT+ grassroots organizations' responses to respectability politics and anti-gender campaigns across Southeastern Europe and Scandinavia.
