Ramin Massoumi is a Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Translational Cancer Research, Lund University, and a Research Group Leader at the Lund University Cancer Center (LUCC). His work focuses on developing small molecules to target proteins involved in tumor cell growth and metastasis across breast, prostate, colon, and skin cancers, aiming to reduce side effects through tailored therapies.
Research interests include:
- Molecular tumor pathology
- Deubiquitination pathways
- HDAC6 and CYLD gene functions
- Precclinical models for drug development
While his 15 most recent articles span 2006–2014, they emphasize ubiquitin-mediated protein regulation, histone deacetylase dynamics, and transcriptional repression in carcinomas. These publications are frequently cited and highlighted in platforms like Mendeley.
He leads the Novel preclinical models for lung cancer treatment project (2024–2026) funded by Cancerfonden, and has organized conferences such as the LUCC Breast Cancer Retreat and Immunology & Metastasis Workshop.
