Ralucca Gera

Dr. Ralucca Gera is a Professor of Mathematics at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), where she serves as the Department Chair for the Applied Math Department. She also holds several leadership positions including Director of CHUNK Learning, Program Manager of the Network Science Academic Certificate, and liaison between NPS and the US Naval Community College. Her career at NPS has included significant roles such as Academic Associate Chair for the Math Department, Director for the Teaching and Learning Commons, and Associate Provost for Graduate Education.

Dr. Gera received her education at Western Michigan University (WMU), where she was a distinguished graduate. Her academic journey has led her to become a recognized leader in network science and educational innovation.

Dr. Gera's research focuses on network science, graph theory, and AI-based educational innovations. She specializes in multilayered networks, dark networks, and network topology analysis. Her work bridges theoretical mathematics with practical applications in security, education, and complex systems. She has developed innovative approaches to community detection, network evolution, and network visualization, with applications ranging from social networks to military contexts. Her research has significantly contributed to understanding complex network structures and their applications in real-world scenarios.
