Ralph Stefan Weir is a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Lincoln and an Associate Member of the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford. He co-organizes the 'New Horizons for Science and Religion in Central and Eastern Europe' project at the Ian Ramsey Centre. His research focuses on philosophy of mind, artificial intelligence, metaphysics, and philosophy of religion, with particular interests in transhumanism, idealism, and Wittgensteinian philosophy.
Dr. Weir holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, alongside a B.Phil. and M.St. in Philosophy from the University of Oxford. His work bridges analytic philosophy with theological and scientific inquiries.
His publications explore intersections between consciousness studies, metaphysical theories, and ethical implications of technological advancement. He has contributed to edited volumes on Stephen Priest’s philosophy and serves as a consultant for the Dalai Lama Centre for Compassion.
