Ralf Schipke

Ralf Schipke is a Lecturer and Technical Specialist in Sound Engineering at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM). He is part of the Technology for Teaching and Study department, supporting sound production, post-production, and audio equipment management. His role includes technical supervision of live sound recordings, mixing, and equipment maintenance in recording studios.

He co-teaches the Basic Seminar in Sound (Grundlagenseminar Sound), focusing on technical fundamentals of audio engineering, auditory perception, and practical applications in film, video, and sound art. This seminar is a prerequisite for independent use of the KHM Sound Lab and audio equipment.

Responsibilities include weekly studio bookings (every Friday at 1 PM) and serving as the primary contact for sound-related inquiries. Technical expertise spans both analog and digital studio equipment.
