Rajour Tanyi Ako

Dr. Rajour Tanyi Ako is a Research Fellow in the School of Engineering at RMIT University, located at the City Campus in Australia. His research focuses on advanced photonics, terahertz technology, and materials science, with a particular emphasis on metasurfaces, nanotechnology, and their applications in sensing, imaging, and communication systems. He holds a PhD and actively supervises research students in topics such as temperature-dependent probing of topological materials.

His research interests span Optical Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Materials Chemistry, with a strong focus on developing innovative solutions for terahertz systems, flexible electronics, and environmental monitoring. Collaborations include work with institutions globally, leveraging interdisciplinary approaches to tackle challenges in photonics and materials science.

Dr. Ako’s recent publications highlight advancements in terahertz imaging, metamaterial design, and sensor technologies, demonstrating contributions to both fundamental science and applied engineering solutions. He is open to supervising Masters and PhD candidates in areas aligned with his expertise in terahertz technologies and material characterization.
