Rajni Goel

Dr. Rajni Goel is a Professor of Cybersecurity and Information Systems at Howard University's School of Business. She serves as Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs and leads the University Academic Excellence Review program.

• Ph.D. in Information Technology (Information Security) from George Mason University (2003)
• Masters of Science in Mathematics
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Millersville University

Her research focuses on:

• Cybersecurity and cyber-risk management
• Artificial Intelligence risk assessment
• Privacy frameworks and bias in AI
• Experiential learning and curriculum development

Recent publications address workforce development through academic-industry partnerships and digital privacy frameworks. Research funding comes from IBM, NSA, PwC, Lockheed Martin, and the Federal Reserve Bank.

• U.S. Department of State cybersecurity speaker in Malaysia

Dr. Goel previously served as Associate Dean, Department Chair, and Founding Director of Howard's Cyber-Security Education and Research Center (CERC).
