Professor Rajkumar Roy serves as Dean of the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering at Loughborough University, where he holds the academic rank of Professor. Internationally recognized for over 27 years of pioneering work, he leads research in through-life engineering services (TES) and cost engineering, directing the national EPSRC Through-life Engineering Services Centre and collaborating with industry to develop cross-sector TES specifications.
His research fundamentally transforms understanding of engineering effort across the lifecycle of complex systems, spanning design, manufacturing, and support phases. Specializing in cost engineering and value-driven methodologies, he examines how engineering generates economic and social value, currently chairing the Social Value Leadership Group at the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists to advance this interdisciplinary field.
