Rajendra Panthee is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition at Syracuse University, part of the College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Texas at El Paso (2014), an M.Phil. in English from Pokhara University (2005), and a B.A. and M.A. in English from Tribhuvan University (1996 and 1999).
Research Interests: His work focuses on rhetoric and writing studies, digital writing practices, cross-cultural digital interfaces, gender studies, and professional writing challenges in diasporic communities. He explores topics such as Nepalese women’s status through folk songs and user-participatory design in educational technology.
Teaching: He teaches courses including WRT 105 (Practices of Academic Writing), WRT 205 (Critical Research and Writing), and WRT 307 (Professional Writing Studio). Recent teaching assignments span 2020 to 2025.
Presentations: He has presented on topics like Nepalese societal portrayals in folk songs and cultural identity through organizational design at conferences such as the 2020 Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC).
