Rajeev Virmani

Rajeev Virmani is an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Curriculum Studies and Secondary Education at Sonoma State University. He serves as the STEM Residency Lead and Single Subject Prospective Teacher Advisor, playing a key role in teacher preparation programs. His work bridges academic research and classroom practice, emphasizing authentic teaching experiences for preservice educators.

Rajeev Virmani has held academic positions at the University of Saint Joseph as Assistant Professor and at the University of San Francisco as Adjunct Professor. He has also worked as a middle and high school mathematics teacher in the San Francisco and Palo Alto Unified School Districts, bringing extensive practical experience into his academic work.

He earned his Doctor of Education in Learning and Instruction from the University of San Francisco. He holds a Master of Education, a Single Subject Clear Credential in Mathematics, and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Psychology, all from the University of California, Davis.
