Rajeev S. Ramchandran

Rajeev S. Ramchandran, M.D., M.B.A. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, specializing in Retina & Vitreous Services at the Flaum Eye Institute. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist with extensive clinical experience in retinal surgeries, laser therapy, intravitreal injections, and medical retina care.

His research interests span multiple domains including telemedicine applications in ophthalmology, diabetic retinopathy screening protocols, retinal imaging technology, health policy and economics, and international ophthalmology. Dr. Ramchandran has developed significant expertise in implementing teleophthalmology programs to improve diabetic retinopathy surveillance in primary care settings and urban low-income populations.
