Rajan Chakrabarty is a Professor in the Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, affiliated with the McKelvey School of Engineering. His research focuses on interdisciplinary aerosol science addressing climate change, public health, and policy. He leads the Aerosol Interdisciplinary Research (AIR) group and directs the Master's in Aerosol Science & Engineering program with IIT Bombay.

Grants & Leadership: Served as Chair of AAAR's Aerosol Physics Working Group (2008–present) and Education Committee (2014–2017). Organized the 2018 International Aerosol Conference. Active in TRIADS seed grants for transdisciplinary data science projects.
Labs & Teams: Directs the AIR Lab (Brauer Hall 3049) with a focus on aerosol dynamics and public health applications. Collaborates with the Consortium for Clean Coal Utilization and the Center for Aerosol Science & Engineering (CASE).
