Raj C. Shah, MD is a Professor in the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine at Rush Medical College, Rush University. He serves as Co-Director of the Center for Community Health Equity and works as a Geriatrician at the RUSH Alzheimer's Disease Center. Dr. Shah is also the Rush site principal investigator for the Chicago Area Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Network (CAPriCORN) and the All of Us Research Program of the NIH's Precision Medicine Initiative.

His publications reveal strong patterns in studying non-neurological, modifiable factors associated with cognitive health, disability prevention, and innovative approaches to clinical trial implementation across diverse aging populations.

As former Assistant Vice-Provost for Clinical Research at Rush University, he oversaw research infrastructure development and served on the Institutional Review Board for nearly 15 years.
He co-directs the Center for Community Health Equity, a Rush-DePaul University partnership focused on reducing hardship and improving Chicago's health outcomes. Dr. Shah also contributes to multiple longitudinal aging research projects including the Chicago Health and Aging Project, Rush Memory and Aging Project, and Rush Religious Orders Study, with particular emphasis on engaging underrepresented communities in aging research.
