Prof. Dr. Rainer Enskat is a leading scholar in theoretical philosophy at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, affiliated with the Faculty of Philosophy I and Department of Philosophy. His work focuses on Kantian philosophy, the European Enlightenment, epistemology, political philosophy, and the intersections of philosophy with science, religion, and ethics.
- Research Interests: Enlightenment, Kant's theory of experience, judgment and autonomy, philosophy of science, political philosophy, and Heidegger-Kant comparative studies.
- Notable Contributions: Authored foundational works like Conditions of Enlightenment (2008) and Judgment and Experience (2015, 2020). Edited conference proceedings and contributed to dialogues between Confucian and Western philosophy.
