Rahmat Beheshti is an Associate Professor at the University of Delaware, affiliated with the Department of Computer & Information Sciences, the Epidemiology Program (joint), and the Data Science Institute (resident). He is also a Research Faculty member at Nemours Children’s Health, focusing on "Net Positive Tech" for human well-being.

His research bridges Machine Learning with health and medical applications, leveraging formal training in engineering and public health. His Healthy lAife Lab develops advanced machine learning algorithms (e.g., deep learning, generative AI) to analyze large-scale health datasets and drive healthcare innovation.
He has contributed to peer review as a panelist for organizations such as the NSF, Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), and Government of Canada’s Strategic Science Fund, and served on program committees for top-tier conferences including AAAI, NeurIPS, ICLR, and ICML.
