Raffaele Grotti is an Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology and Social Research, University of Trento, Italy. His research focuses on comparative sociology, social and economic inequalities, income dynamics, welfare regimes, and quantitative methods. He has held academic positions at the European University Institute, Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) Dublin, and Trinity College Dublin, and maintains affiliations with Stockholm University Demography Unit (SUDA) and the journal Advances in Life Course Research.
