Rafał Pastwa

Rev. Dr. hab. Rafał Pastwa is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Language, Rhetoric and Media Law, Institute of Journalism and Management, Faculty of Social Sciences of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He combines academic work with roles as clergyman, poet, and social activist, including founding the 'Za Bramą' Foundation and serving as editorial director of 'Gość Niedzielny' since 2013.

His research focuses on religious communication, media studies, and bioethics. Key areas include mediatization of religion, cancel culture dynamics, digital media ethics, and ecological discourse in theology. His publications systematically analyze intersections between media, theology, and contemporary societal challenges.

His projects include 'Creative Creator of the Future' media training and state-funded research on cancel culture's impact on Polish Catholicism.
