Rafał Kubiak is a Professor at the University of Lodz where he serves as Head of the Department of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration. He also holds a professorship at the Medical University of Lodz where he heads the Department of Medical Law, demonstrating his dual expertise in both legal and medical fields.
His educational background includes graduating from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Lodz, where he also earned his doctoral degree in law sciences and his postdoctoral degree (habilitation). His interdisciplinary career bridges criminal law and medical law, creating a unique specialization at the intersection of these fields.
Professor Kubiak's research focuses on substantive criminal law, medical law, criminal liability of medical workers, patient rights, and the legal protection of healthcare professionals. His work addresses critical issues in healthcare regulation, particularly concerning non-therapeutic activities and the training system for medical workers in Poland.
