Rafaela Feola Conz

Dr. Rafaela Feola Conz is a Researcher affiliated with the Professorship for Sustainable Agroecosystems at ETH Zurich's Department of Environmental Systems Science (D-USYS). Her work focuses on sustainable agricultural practices, soil fertility, and microbial responses to environmental changes. She holds a Ph.D. from ETH Zurich (2020) in Environmental System Science, an M.Sc. in Soil and Plant Nutrition (University of São Paulo, 2013), and a B.S. in Agronomy (University of São Paulo, 2012).

Her research integrates agroecological practices and molecular biology techniques to study the impact of organic residues on crop performance and soil health. Notably, her doctoral work in Mozambique examined orange-fleshed sweetpotato cultivation using locally sourced organic amendments. Current interests include microbial dynamics in agroecosystems under environmental pressures.
