Dr. Rafael Baiao Dowsley is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Software Systems & Cybersecurity at Monash University. He holds a Doctor of Natural Sciences in Cryptography from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (2016). His research focuses on cryptography, privacy-preserving machine learning, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain technologies. He is actively involved in major initiatives such as the CSIRO Next Generation Graduates Program on Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning and the Algorand Centre of Excellence on Sustainability Informatics for the Pacific. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to education and innovation.
