Rafael Alexandre Mello

Rafael Alexandre Mello is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Politics at Bates College. His research focuses on unequal international political-economic relations, particularly their impact on economic development and the democracy-authoritarian nexus in Latin America and the Global South. He is also interested in emerging power politics and global governance dynamics. His expertise spans international development, political theory, and Latin American social studies.
